A Community of Music 2024: North Hills participating in annual celebration

North Hills music students will again play a large role in this year’s A Community of Music celebration hosted by North Hills Cares at the Block Northway on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.

Friday’s festivities, which include a holiday concert, concessions and a basket raffle, will begin at 6 p.m. The North Hills High School Chamber Strings Orchestra, Jazz Band and North Hills Singers will perform as follows:

  • 6:30 p.m. - North Hills Chamber Orchestra
  • 7:20 p.m. - North Hills Singers
  • 8:30 p.m. - North Hills Jazz Band

Saturday is Kids Day at A Community of Music with games and crafts from 10 a.m. to  3 p.m. and free photos with Santa from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

North Hills band and orchestra students will perform on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the Spitvalves will take the stage at 12:30 p.m.

At 3 p.m., all attendees can participate in a drum circle with professional drum circle facilitator Matt Price. View the complete event program here.

There is no cost to attend either day but attendees are encouraged to help support North Hills Cares and their mission of helping those in need in our community by bringing non-perishable family-sized food items to fill the sleigh! Monetary donations will also be accepted.
